Upright/Double Bass (contrabass)

Almost like a giant violin, the double bass also can go by the name upright bass, standup bass or contrabass. Its deep notes have found their home traditionally in string ensembles and symphonic orchestras, but since the 1950s the double bass has played an important role in various genres including, jazz, blues, rock, country and even folk music.
