Learn at your own pace with maximum support and encouragement. I can show you the ‘trade secrets’ of how to practice and perform well on the piano, using music you choose and enjoy.

Study for exams with confidence or just learn that piece you've always wanted to play - I teach all ages and abilities! My most ambitious students have won scholarships to private schools through their piano playing, received into the 140’s in Associated Board piano exam distinctions, and won festival competitions. Other students just want to learn for fun - it’s up to you.

The best start for a child is to learn with a professional pianist. I teach on a Steinway Grand Piano and there is a waiting room available for parents, or they can sit in on the lesson if they wish.

How it works:
I normally arrange a one-off consultation lesson for you to meet me, try out my piano and see if you enjoy the way I teach. Then, if you wish to continue with more lessons, you can contact me again to arrange a weekly lesson time. You will need to have a piano at home so you can practice the things I teach you.

Fees: 

Beginner-Grade 3: 30 minutes, £19.00
Grades 4-7: 45 minutes, £28.50
Grade 8, diploma and beyond: 60 minutes, £38.00

About me:
I am a professional concert pianist with a special passion for teaching. My joint careers as performer and teacher complement each other perfectly, as I know what techniques really work and enjoy passing on that knowledge. I graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London with first-class honours in piano performance, where I also completed a teaching course and was awarded the highest mark of the year. Since then I have won several performance awards, both national and international, and played at prestigious venues such as the Barbican Centre in London and the British Embassy in Prague.
