I have taken piano over 9 1/2 years and taught for over 5 years.  I have an undergraduate in History and working on an MPA.  I have attended numerous workshops with composers while teaching in Savannah, GA.  The lessons I use are taught primarily out of the Alfred Series:  Lesson, Technic, Solo and Theory and "Adult All-In-One".  While I use this series, I incorporate all of the following:  John Thompsn, Helen Marlais "In Recital Throughout the Year", "Succeeding with the Masters - the Baroque Era and Classical Era", and many other composers.  I enjoy playing with students on a regular basis as well as in recitals for accuracy on every piece.  I am a Member of the National Association of Music Teachers and the Virginia Music Teachers Association.
